Sunday School Info
Education on Sunday mornings is one of the ways we connect with and support families. While lessons are age appropriate we encourage at home discussion during the week and focus on building relationships in small groups across generations.
Preschool: Starting at age 3 through pre-kindergarten children come to a classroom set up just for their age. They focus on one story for a month, hearing about it and learning the story in many different ways using all the intelligences possible! Some weeks there is art, some cooking, and some are full of movement and games. Preschoolers join the kindergarten class for 20 minutes of music each week as well and they sing in worship periodically.
Kindergarten: Children in Kindergarten also come to their own classroom and focus on one story each month hearing about it and learning the story in many different ways using all the intelligences possible! Some weeks there is art, some cooking, and some are full of movement and games. Kindergartners join the preschool class for 20 minutes of music each week as well and they sing in worship periodically.
Elementary Students: 1st-5th grade: In these grades children are placed in small groups called tribes by grade and they follow a rotation schedule. For about a month one story is the focus and each week they go to a different rotation class with their tribe leaders and small group in their grade. Cooking, Science, Art, Games, Drama, and Music are all a part of the curriculum. Each week students meet in the sanctuary for an opening time together and then head off to their different class.
