Fellowship


Worship together, work together, and play together.
There are all types of special interest groups to join.

Hiking and Adventure Group

Who: Open to anyone interested in hiking day trips or a fun local event each month.
What: Travel together to various hiking trails to enjoy the beauty of God's creation, the exercise, and the fellowship.
When: Dates and times of trips vary; watch the Signal and bulletins for updates.
Where: Local destinations within driving distance.

Book Club

Who: All interested adults are welcome to come.
What: Read one book per month (wide variety of topics and styles) and meet at members houses to discuss them.
When: 3rd Monday of the month at 7:00 pm.
Where: Various host houses.

Women of the ELCA

Who: All women interested are welcome to join.
What: The two circles meet monthly for Bible study and fellowship.
When:

Mary/Martha Circle meets the 3rd Wednesday at 1:00 pm

Leah Circle meets the 4th Thursday at 7:00 pm

Winterfest

Who: Member families
What: Families spend a weekend at the YMCA of the Rockies Snow Mountain Ranch. During the day, each family engages in age-appropriate outdoor activities: skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, etc., as well as indoor activities at the YMCA such as roller skating, swimming, basketball, arts and crafts, and more. In the evenings, the group gathers for communal meals, games, a worship service, and fellowship.
When: Annually, usually Martin Luther King weekend

Summerfest

 

Who: Member families interested in camping.
What: Spend the weekend in a tent, RV, or lodge room at Sky Ranch.
When: Annually in August
Where: Sky Ranch

International Gourmet Cooking Group

Who: Couples and singles.
What: Themed dinners from different cultures. All members contribute a part of each meal by preparing gourmet food.
When: Seven times per year (5 dinners, a Christmas gathering and a late spring closing).
Where: Various hosts homes (members have a choice of hosting or not hosting)

Handwork Group

Who: Any adult interested in handwork of any kind from crocheting to sewing on a button!
What: Fellowship and handwork.
When: 4th Monday of every month at 7:00 pm.

Sewing Circle

Who: Anyone interested in sewing.
What: Make quilts for the Nightwalker organization to take to Native American reservations and to Lutheran Family Service for their Foster Care Refugee programs. Members also cut used stamps and Campbell Soup labels for the Bethphage Home in Axtel, Nebraska.
When: 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 1:00 pm.

 Fruits of the Spirit

Who: Anyone who enjoys scrapbooking! 
What: The members of this group enjoy meeting monthly to work on their individual scrapbooking projects. Our devotion is at 7:30 pm and it is now focusing on one of the Fruits of the Spirit. A scrapbooking retreat is being planned for the winter.
When: 3rd Friday of the month from 6 pm - midnight.

J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth)

Who: Adults age 50 and up.
What: Our mission and vision is to be J.O.Yful disciples of our Lord by attracting adults age 50 and up for the purpose of meaningful fellowship with other believers, and by providing opportunities for Just Older Youth to use their gifts and talents for ministry within Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and beyond.
When: 3rd Thursday of each month in the afternoon.
Where: Various outings are scheduled.

Men's Breakfast Group

Who: All the men of the congregation.
What: The pastors lead a conversation around next Sunday's scriptures. Everyone orders off the menu. Come when you can and it is fine if you need to leave before 8 am.
When: Thursday mornings 6:45 to 8:00 am.
Where: Village Inn

Young Families Group

Who: Member families with young children.
What: We meet monthly for fellowship and fun. We rotate months with family events and adult-only events.
When: Monthly activities are listed in the bulleting and the Signal. E-mail reminders are sent as well.

Picnics in the Park

Who: Everyone
What: We meetin in Edora Park for an evening of fellowship and fun. We grill burgers and hot dogs and everyone is asked to bring a side dish. If you are interested in picking up supplies or grilling, contact the church. Donations are asked to help defray the costs.
When: Wednesday evenings in June and August beginning at 6:00 pm

Who: Anyone interested in gardening.
What: Meet to add beauty to God's creation.
