Book Club

Read one book per month and meet at members' houses to discuss them

Anyone who enjoys scrapbooking!

The members of this group enjoy meeting monthly to work on their individual scrapbooking projects. Our devotion is at 7:30 pm and it is now focusing on one of the Fruits of the Spirit.

Gardening Club

High School Youth Group

Overview
Who: 
Students currently in 9th - 12th grade and their friends

Youth group offers Bible studies, retreats, and fellowship activities

High school youth room, or at site of activity

Youth group offers Bible studies, retreats, and fellowship activities regularly for youth to help grou and explore their faith. Every summer a week-long trip is planned. In the summer of 2011 we will take a servant trip to Nicaragua.

Hiking & Adventure Group

Overview
Who: 
Open to anyone interested in hiking day trips or a fun local event each month
What: 
Travel together to various hiking trails to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation, the exercise, and the fellowship

Local destinations within driving distance

International Gourmet Cooking Group

Overview
Who: 
Couples and singles
What: 
Themed dinners from different cultures. All members contribute a part of each meal by preparing gourmet food

Seven times per year (5 dinners, a Christmas gathering and a late Spring closing)

Various hosts (members have choice of hosting or not hosting)

J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth)

Adults age 50 and up

All the men of the congregation

The pastors lead a conversation around next Sunday’s scriptures. Everyone orders off the menu. Come when you can and it is fine if you need to leave before 8 am.

Picnics in the Park

Meet at Edora Park for an evening of food, fellowship and fun

We meet at Edora Park for an evening of fellowship and fun. We grill burgers and hot dogs and everyone is asked to bring a side dish. If you are interested in picking up supplies or grilling, contact the church. Donations are asked to help defray the costs.

Sewing Circle

Anyone interested in sewing

Make quilts for several charitable organizations
When: 
Second and Fourth Wednesday of the month at 1:00 pm

Make quilts for the Denver Rescue Mission, Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, Lutheran Family Services for their Foster Care, Refugee programs, and where needed.

Summerfest

OSLC Families interested in camping

Spend the weekend camping in a tent, RV, or Lodge room at Sky Ranch

Summerfest 2011: July 29-31 at Sky Ranch.  Join other OSLC families for fun and fellowship in the Colorado outdoors!  Options for camping, cabins, and lodge rooms.

Wednesday Night Dinners

Overview
Who: 
Everyone is invited to attend, or sign up to bring dinner one night
What: 
Dinner and fellowship during Wednesday night activities
When:

Need a Mid-Week Lift? Don’t Want to Cook? Come join your friends for dinner on Wednesday nights here at the church.  Dinner is served 5:00 - 7:05 pm for a $3.25 suggested donation.

Wednesday Night is the night for all choir practices, Confirmation, Youth Group, Bible Study and various other meetings. Come eat before or after your event or just come for fellowship! Volunteer to cook or bring dinner one night. You will be reimbursed for all expenses. 

Winterfest
