Confirmation

Overview
Who: 
Students in grades 7 and 8, and their parents
What: 
Learn what it means to become an adult Christian and become a confirmed member of the church
When: 
Wednesday nights from 6:00 - 7:00 pm, September - May
Where: 
Classrooms to be announced

The goal of becoming a confirmed member is to make the leap from your parents faith to your own, learning what it means to become an adult Christian. This two-year program studies Martin Luther, the catechism, and the old and new testaments. Additional fellowship and servant events as scheduled.

Men's Breakfast Group

The pastors lead a conversation around next Sunday’s scriptures. Everyone orders off the menu. Come when you can and it is fine if you need to leave before 8 am.

Preschool

Christian preschool open to the public

MWF 9:00 – 12:00 or 12:45 – 3:30 (4 year olds), T/TH 9:00 – 12:00 (3 year olds)

This Christian preschool is open to the public. Through a warm and accepting environment, we provide trained teachers showing Christian love so that children can creatively explore their expanding world and set the stage for a lifelong love of school and learning.

Sunday Adult Forum

A variety of topics are covered ranging from in depth looks at Bible lessons, current event discussions, and happenings at OSLC. The schedule is printed monthly in the Signal and each Sunday in the bulletin.

Sunday Church School

Overview

Simply show up at class or contact Sunday School Superintendents Kristin Reese or Kimberly Clouser

Christian education for young people. Teachers are parents or adult members of the congregation who volunteer.  Any child can simply show up at their class. Grade levels are marked outside the classrooms. When a parent becomes a member, their child is automatically added to the roster. 

Vacation Bible School

Overview
Who: 
Children preschool through 5th grade
What: 
Fun atmosphere for Christian education, arts and crafts, music, Bible lessons and lots of fun!
When: 
June 13-17, 2011. Times: 9 am - 12 pm for 4 & 5 year olds and kindergarten; 9 am - 3 pm for 1st grade through 5th grade

Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in 2011
How to get involved: 
Contact Pastor Michael, Pastor Leta or Bev Watson. Look for volunteer sign-ups and registration forms in the fellowship hall

"Journey" with Vacation Bible School in 2011!  This year we will have couselors from Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp join us to run the program for the 1st-5th graders.  Cost of the program is $20 for half-day (4 & 5 year olds and kindergarten) and $30 for full day (1st - 5th grades).


Registration forms can be found at the Sign-Up Central shelf on the south wall of the fellowship hall.  Please turn in the forms and checks to the church office. Checks should be made out to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.

Women of the ELCA

Overview
Who: 
All women interested are welcome to join
What: 
The two circles meet monthly for Bible study and fellowship

Mary/Martha Circle meets 3rd Wednesday at 1:00 pm. Leah Circle meets 4th Thursday at 7:00 pm.

Young Adult Bible Study
