Church Nursery

Overview

Infants through 4-year olds. Anyone 13 years old and older is welcome to work in the Nursery

We have an adult supervisor and youth available to watch children

The nursery is available to children 4 years old and younger during church services and on Wednesday evenings

Environmental Stewardship Committee

This Committee was organized in late 2009 to reduce the environmental impact of the church building and grounds, and to educate and encourage members to be environmentally aware and to minimize their environmental impact.  The Committee also wants to encourage participation in environmental events, and to help with environmental improvements in the community.

Provide flowers for church services. Sign up on the flower chart in the hallway by the office. You may purchase flowers from a florist or bring flowers from your garden. There are vases available in the sacristy or you may use your own. You may take them home after the last service.

Health & Healing Ministry

This ministry structure formally began in 2008 to continue envisioning and building a model for supporting and equipping our church to be a people who are effectively caring for one’s own health and for the health of others in an expression of both love for our neighbors and responsibility for a just society.

Knit One, Pray One

Overview
Who: 
Anyone who is willing to knit or crochet a shawl and pray for the healing and welfare of the shawl’s recipient
What: 
A prayer shawl ministry whose purpose is to make beautiful shawls for those who are going through a difficult time and need our prayers and support
When: 
No regular meetings and no membership list

Memory Garden/Columbarium Committee

Five elected members of our congregation

Oversee the Memory Garden/Columbarium and assist with Memorial Services for those who will be interred

Oversee the Memory Garden/Columbarium and assist with Memorial Services for those who will be interred. Sell niches to church members & sell bricks for the memory walk. The first phase of the Columbarium has been completed. There are still a few niches available.

Outside Our Walls

Stephen Ministry

Overview
Who: 
Adult members of OSLC are invited to find out more about becoming a Stephen Minister, or receiving care from a Stephen Minister.
What: 
The Stephen Series is a complete system for training and organizing lay people to provide one-to-one, confidential Christian care to hurting people in and around our congregation.
When: 
Training to become a Stephen Minister is held yearly, and care is provided by Stephen Ministers on an as-requested basis.
Where: 
Classes will be held at church.

Our Saviour's has been involved with Stephen Ministry since 2004.  We provide one-to-one Christian care to the bereaved, hospitalized, terminally ill, separated, divorced, unemployed, relocated, and others facing a crisis or life challenge. Stephen Ministry helps pastors and congregations provide quality caring ministry for as long as people need it.  Through Stephen Ministry, Our Saviour's is more sensitive and responsive to people's needs for care.
